As awareness about Human Trafficking increases, our understanding of the nuances involved in effectively responding to this crime has become more sophisticated. This session will review the dynamics of Human Trafficking and what is happening at the state policy level to incorporate our increasing understanding of this issue.

Corey Norlander—Sergeant, Sheboygan Co. Sheriff’s Office

Sheboygan County developed a multi-disciplinary task force to more effectively respond to the needs of human trafficking victims, and better address the unique risks that traffickers pose to their victims. The panel of presenters will share how they identified the need for a task force in their community, what challenges and successes they have encountered so far, and provide some suggestions for how to start a similar initiative in your community.
